Kiev. Ukraine. Ukraine Gate – February 18, 2021 – Tourism and Travel
Mountains, plains, natural landscapes, and hot lakes are all located in Ukraine, in the country of beauty, and our correspondents have flocked to the areas of carriages to visit the hot springs, of which the Yodo Promen spring is one of them.
The Yodo Spring is located in the Strelkovo region and is one of the three thermal springs located on the Arabat Arrow. It is also called the hot spring of your gratitude.
This source resembles an open lake with a tube of hot water that reaches 65 degrees Celsius. Nearby there are changing rooms, stairs to the “lake”, and a car park, near the fenced part of the pool there is a small shop where you can buy products.
The history of the species
Like all thermal springs, it dates back to the 1960s, when a geological exploration team worked in the area to search for freshwater, oil, and gas on the spit. No minerals or water were found, but a well with a depth of 800 meters remained and began to be useful in another tourism and medical field.
Medicinal properties
The water in the spring is filled with iodine, bromine, chromium, magnesium, and other fine particles. In general, hot water has many medicinal properties. It has a positive effect on the cardiovascular system and the musculoskeletal system, treats skin diseases, especially psoriasis. It is also beneficial for the respiratory system.
Contraindications
Given that the water temperature reaches about 70-80 degrees near the source, it is not recommended to visit such places for people with serious heart and pressure problems, because it can exacerbate. And before showering, be sure to consult your family doctor or medical staff representative on site. It is also not recommended to visit the spring in the summer at noon when the southern sun warms up and the air reaches +40 degrees.
What’s Next?
The famous Sivash Salt Lake is nearby, 100 meters away, which also has many healing properties of its own. On the other side of the beach lies the Sea of Azov. Also, if you want to hydrate your skin – we recommend visiting the nearby Glycerin Lake, which would be a great addition after the dry seawater and Sivash.
How to get there?
By public transportation:
From the central bus station in Kherson, you can take a regular bus “Kherson – Geneschisk”. And when you get to the local bus station, you need to find the “Genichesk – Strilkove” bus. After you reach the village, you will need to follow it for approximately 2 km on a dirt road.
