In the village of Velyki Huliaky in the Kyiv region, almost 2,000 farmers have joined a cooperative that grows organic vegetables and fruits together.
The cooperative has 16 greenhouses, which have their own heating and water supply system. Farmers take care of the plants themselves, prepare the soil, fertilize and irrigate it. Thus, they manage to grow products without the addition of chemicals.
“People are interested in being here, communicating, and taking care of plants. That’s how they study, “said community member Yuri Bulgakov.
Farmers also plan to create a phytoline line with medicinal herbs, and process surplus vegetables and fruits into sauces and twists.
“A very important part is the love that people put into the plant. And other people who eat it, they get it through food, “- said community member Yuri Bulgakov.
There are two own boiler houses and water supply from springs. All products of the cooperative are distributed among the participants.
