Honorary Ukrainian journalist Vasil Havrishin passed away at the age of 82, according to the publication of the Lviv Journalists’ Union on Facebook.

“Vasil Havelishin will be remembered forever by Galician for his creative work, which recreates the turbulent years of the struggle for statehood in Ukraine,” the statement said.
Vasil Havelishin was born in the Ivano-Frankivsk region and studied at Lviv University as a student, he was invited to work in the newspaper’s editorial office, and later on Lviv TV.
It is noteworthy that the journalist was remembered for his work in television films, which have grown into films and have won appreciation and respect in the country. The funeral and bid farewell to the famous journalist, member of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, Vasil Havelishin, will be held on February 24, 2021, at 11:00 in the Holy Trinity Church on Trachkovsty Street in Lviv.
