Biden: Crimea is Ukraine
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, for the initial recognition of Crimea as part of Ukraine.

“I am grateful to the President of the United States for his strong message: Crimea is Ukraine, and this is what a true strategic partnership means,” the Ukrainian head of state wrote on his official Twitter page. Ukrainians appreciate American support: from territorial integrity to strengthening defense capabilities and implementing reforms. Volodymyr Zelensky wrote: “We stand together, and we collapse.”
It is worth noting that US President Joe Biden published a statement on the White House website on Friday to mark the upcoming anniversary of Russia’s occupation of Ukraine’s Crimea peninsula.
According to the head of the White House, the United States will continue to hold Russia accountable for its aggression against Ukraine, and will never acknowledge Russia’s attempt to annex the peninsula, and it continues to support Ukraine.
