The office of the President of Ukraine stated that preparations are underway for President Volodymyr Zelensky’s visits to the United States and countries of the Asian region.

In this context, Vice President of the President’s Office Ihor Zhovkva said in an interview with an Internet media, that the final list of countries that the head of state will visit is being formed.
According to him, there is a desire to cover China, South Korea, Indonesia, and others.
He added, “The negotiations are underway through diplomatic channels, but it is impossible so far to determine the exact date of the visits for objective reasons, and unfortunately, the Asian region, like all other regions of the world, is steadily suffering from Coronavirus.”
He added that a number of agreements have already been prepared, and there are also promising projects to develop trade and investment in Ukraine.
The deputy head of the president’s office expressed condolences to the family of Ukrainian Ambassador to China Serhiy Kamyshev. According to him, the position of ambassador to China cannot remain vacant for long, so the search for an alternative is underway.
Zhovkva also confirmed that work is underway to prepare for Zelensky’s visit to the United States, as the administration of the new President of the United States Joe Biden has already been contacted, and recently the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitro Kuliba had a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
“Work continues not only on the part of the State Department but also on the part of the White House,” Govkva said.
He indicated that preparations are underway for a telephone conversation between the leaders of Ukraine and the United States.
Govkva stressed that it is a matter of political support, the participation of the United States on a larger scale in the negotiations for a peaceful settlement in the Donbas and the dismantling of the Crimean peninsula, and economic cooperation.
