“According to the decision of the State Commission for Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergencies on” red “quarantine zones, Ukrzaliznytsia will suspend the sale of tickets to Chernivtsi and Zhytomyr regions from March 7 to 12 (with the possibility of extending the intensified quarantine). There will also be limited boarding and disembarking of passengers with already purchased tickets on dates after March 7 inclusive, ”the statement reads.
It is reported that until March 6, inclusive, all passengers with purchased tickets will be able to easily reach their destination by rail. Also, the restrictions will not apply to passengers whose flights start before 00:00 on March 7 and end during the restrictions.
“At the same time, passengers with tickets to Chernivtsi, Zhytomyr and the regions have access to other stations for disembarkation and disembarkation along the route of the train, if these stations are outside the” red “zone,” the statement said.
For example, residents of Chernivtsi and the eastern part of the region may be able to travel in the direction of Kiev from the stations of the Ternopil region (Zalishchyky, Tovste, Chortkiv) by train № 357/358 Rakhiv – Kyiv or train № 769/770 from Kamianets-Podilskyi.
Ukrzaliznytsia is also asked to pay attention to stations bordering the Zhytomyr region: Rokytne-Volynske (train № 142/141), Shepetivka (train № 13/14, № 43/44, № 235/236, № 97/98, № 45/46), Polonne (train № 13/14), Fastiv (train № 142/141, № 13/14) or Vinnytsia station, which is a transit hub for trains of Western, Odessa and Kyiv directions.
“Resolution № 154 stipulates the possibility of assigning special flights to deliver people from the quarantine zone, so Ukrzaliznytsia is currently negotiating with the relevant regional state administrations to order such flights, which will be announced later,” the statement said.
On March 3, 2021, a “red” level of epidemic danger of COVID-19 spread is introduced in the territory of the Zhytomyr region.
It will be recalled that due to the steady deterioration of the epidemiological situation, the “red” level is already operating in the Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi regions.
In six regions of Ukraine, as before, the rate of hospitalizations of patients due to COVID-19 was exceeded, for the day a certain decrease was observed in Prykarpattia.
