A New Wave of Corona virus Overruns Ukraine

The Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov stated that in Ukraine, there are already 1.384 million cases of corona virus COVID-19, a daily increase for March 4 – the second day in a row more than 10 thousand, which is a jump to the figure observed at the end of last year. The number of hospitalized per day – more than 3.3 thousand.

10,155 new cases of corona virus COVID-19 were detected in one day. In particular, 577 children and 345 health workers fell ill.

It is noted that 3,355 people were hospitalized during the day; 172 fatal cases were recorded; 4,149 people recovered.

In addition, 83,756 tests were performed per day (including 40,393 by PCR, 16,127 by ELISA, and 27,236 tests by rapid tests for SARS-CoV-2 antigen).

Over the last 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv (910), Vinnytsia (816), Zakarpattia (748), Ivano-Frankivsk (737), and Zhytomyr (695) oblasts.
