863,455 women in Ukraine work as sole proprietors, that is, almost half of all entrepreneurs – 46.6 percent. “The percentage of women is increasing from year to year, and in 2016 there was 44.8%,” she said in a statement.
Statistics show that the largest number of women do business in areas such as retail – 43.6% and providing other personal services – 9.3%.
And in third place among the fields chosen by women – computer programming, consulting and related activities – 4.9%.
“As of February this year, 43,407 women are working as entrepreneurs in the information technology field,” the statement said.
It should be noted that the share of women in IT-FOPs is growing significantly every year. And in 2017, their percentage was 20.9%, this year – 24.7% already.
