1.425 Million Cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine

The Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov stated that in Ukraine, 1.425 million cases of coronavirus COVID-19 have already been recorded, the daily increase for March 10 is 9,000, again a jump in the number of cases compared to the day before. At the same time, there is also a sharp increase in hospitalizations – 4.2 thousand per day.

“9,084 new cases of coronavirus COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine as of March 11, 2021,” Stepanov said.

In particular, 442 children and 348 health workers fell ill.

It is noted that 4,250 people were hospitalized during the day; 3,736 people were discharged from hospitals; 262 deaths were recorded; 5,330 people recovered.

In addition, 106,464 tests were performed per day (including PCR – 47,365, ELISA – 18,615); studies by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 40 484.

During the whole pandemic in Ukraine:

fell ill – 1,425,522 people;

recovered – 1,210,246 people;

fatalities – 27,685;

PCR tests were performed – 7,235,711.

Over the past 24hrs, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv (853), Vinnytsia (659), Lviv (600), Odesa (588), and Chernivtsi (587) oblasts.
