The national team of Ukraine won a dramatic victory in the away match against the national team of the Faroe Islands in the selection for Euro 2022 handball.

In the match, which took place in the Faroese capital Torshavny, the “blue-yellows” managed to adjust the game after a surprisingly difficult start, caught up with rivals, losing 1: 4, and in the first half were already confidently in the lead – 16:11.
However, at the end of the match, the “blue-yellow” fans had to worry a lot – the Faroe Islands reduced the gap to a minimum and in the last seconds could equalize, but the national team of Ukraine still survived and kept the winners for themselves – 26:25.
The Ukrainian team fulfilled the task for both March qualifying matches – they defeated the Faroe Islands both at home (25:21) and away. Currently, the national team of Ukraine has 5 points in four games.
The issue of reaching the Euro for Ukrainians will be decided in the final games of the group stage against the Czech Republic – on April 28 at home and on May 2 on the road.
