The Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov announced that in Ukraine, 1.489 million cases of coronavirus COVID-19 have already been recorded, the daily increase over March 16 was 11.8 thousand, an increase compared to the day before. At the same time, the number of hospitalized more than doubled per day and reaches 4.9 thousand.

“11,833 new cases of coronavirus COVID-19 have been recorded in Ukraine as of March 17, 2021,” Stepanov said.
According to him, 388 doctors and 609 children fell ill.
Yesterday, 4,887 patients with coronavirus were admitted to hospitals, and 289 deaths were recorded. 5,467 Ukrainians recovered. Over 121,000 tests were performed per day (by PCR – 50966, by ELISA – 22035, by tests with rapid tests for the antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 48143).
Since the beginning of the whole pandemic in Ukraine:
fell ill – 1,489,023 people;
recovered – 1,237,676 people;
fatalities – 28,986;
PCR tests were performed – 7,467,108.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk oblasts, and the city of Sevastopol are missing.
According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with the coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 17th in terms of prevalence and 19th in terms of the number of deaths from COVID-19.
