According to the World Report on Happiness for 2021, which was initiated by the UN, experts analyzed the “level of happiness” of 95 countries. In the ranking, Ukraine was in 69th place.

The data showed that Finland is recognized as the happiest country. This title goes to the Finns for the fourth year in a row.
Along with Finland in the top five are Iceland, Denmark, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. The United States did not enter the top ten, being in 14th place. According to the authors of the report, residents of Mongolia (45th place), Moldova (49th place), Tajikistan (62nd place), Laos (67th place), and Bangladesh (68th place) are much happier than Ukrainian citizens.
The five most unfortunate countries are Cambodia, India, Jordan, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe.
According to the study’s official website, this year, in determining happiness levels, researchers focused on how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected people and how governments have succeeded in fighting the coronavirus.
The World Happiness Report is an annual report published by the United Nations Office for Sustainable Development. In its preparation, data from surveys of the Gallup Institute were used.
