The Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov announced that in Ukraine, there have already been 1.652 million cases of coronavirus COVID-19, the daily increase for March 28 – 8.3 thousand, down from the day before, but traditional for the weekend. Hospitalizations per day – 3.1 thousand.

As of the morning of March 29, 8346 people had been diagnosed with coronavirus in Ukraine, 178 deaths had been recorded, 2875 patients had recovered, and 3129 people had been hospitalized.
The number of patients exceeds the number of those who recovered. This trend is observed for more than a month.
After the weekend, the traditional decline of new infected COVID-19 in Ukraine is recorded. At the same time, much fewer tests were performed over the past 24 hours.
Thus, yesterday we performed only 39,732 tests for coronavirus (including PCR-24,404, ELISA – 5,631, rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 9,697). For all time in Ukraine 8 million, PCR tests were carried out.
Over the last 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Lviv (820), Kharkiv (664), Odesa (658), Dnipropetrovsk (647), and Zhytomyr (567) oblasts.
A total of 1,652,409 people fell ill during the pandemic in Ukraine, of whom 1,303,500 recovered and 32,132 died.

According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with the coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 16th in distribution and 18th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.
