The Minister of Society and Regional Development Oleksy Chernysov announced during a meeting with the management of the Oil and Gas Association of Ukraine and representatives of the gas station networks that Ukraine is losing billions every year due to illegal gas stations activities.

The minister said that the activities of all illegal fuel stations should be stopped, and work is underway to uncover the illegal fuel trade, stressing that all petrol stations in Ukraine will be inspected to eliminate this type of business that inflicts losses on the economy.
In turn, union representatives indicated that they support fair competition in this trade, and there are currently teams from all administrations whose work aims to stop the illegal circulation of fuel.
“Our strategic goals are to close the black fuel, support the state treasury, and create conditions for predicting fuel prices,” Chernisov said.
The Minister emphasized that work in this direction is continuing systematically at the regional level under the control of the Ministry of Regional Development.
