The Nepalese government has reportedly decided to close all academic institutions in the country for four days, starting on March 30, as air conditions are at a dangerous level. Classes will stop in all educational institutions. This is about 7.5 million pupils and students in 31 thousand academic institutions of the country.
The level of air pollution in Kathmandu and other major cities in the Himalayan country since Friday – one of the highest in the world.
Smoke from forest fires and smog contributes to poor air conditions. According to weather forecasters, the situation should improve as soon as the rain passes.
In Poland, on the night from Sunday to Monday, smog was recorded, and in places of air pollution 13 times higher than normal.
