The Biden administration is seeking to intensify strategic cooperation with Ukraine in combating corruption and implementing reforms announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the start of his presidency, the White House said in a statement after National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan’s call with Ukraine’s Presidential Office Andrei Yermak.

“[Sullivan] conveyed the Biden administration’s commitment to revitalizing our strategic partnership in support of President Volodymyr Zelensky’s plan to tackle corruption and implement a reform agenda that brings justice, security, and prosperity to the people of Ukraine,” the statement said.
In addition, Sullivan affirmed “the United States’ unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and Euro-Atlantic aspirations” in the face of continued Russian aggression.
Previously, Yarmak spoke on the phone with Sullivan on Monday, March 29. He thanked the United States for its clear and continued support for Ukraine and informed Sullivan of the current situation on the front line in eastern Ukraine.
