And although Haupt provided comprehensive documentation for the creation of such a device, many wanted to get it in a simpler way, without repeating the whole way Haupt. Now Haupt went to meet such “sloths” and began to accept orders for a “do it yourself” kit, for the final launch of which does not require special skills. According to Haupt, it is enough to have a screwdriver, tweezers, some neatness, and a free evening.
It will cost such a cell phone with a disk set of $ 390. Deliveries are scheduled to begin by summer 2021. The phone supports 4G, 3G, and 2G cellular communication, has a pocket-size, a dial dial, two buttons for speed dialing, and an external antenna, which allows you to use the SIM card of any operator. By the way, he still has a screen, even two – front OLED and rear based on electronic ink. You can receive SMS but not send. Contacts as text files are stored on a microSD memory card. There is a mechanical power button, USB Type-C connector for charging.
Haupt does not rule out the possibility of producing a fully finished device. However, this involves a number of difficulties, including licensing and warranty service, for which Haupt is not yet ready.
