Judge of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine Markiyan Galabala will take part pro bono in the monitoring program of the Anti-Corruption Network of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
Participation involves an evaluation of one of the member states of the network in the framework of the Istanbul Action Plan to Combat Corruption.
The evaluation will, in particular, be carried out for the state’s compliance with international standards regarding the independence and integrity of the judiciary.
It is added that the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development is an international organization uniting 37 countries of the world, most of which are high-income countries. The governments of the participating States are working together to find common challenges, develop international standards, share experiences and identify best practices to promote better policies for a better life. The OECD was created to strengthen the economies of member countries, promote market economies and representative democracy, develop free markets, and promote the growth of both developed and developing countries.
