the Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov stated via his daily message on Facebook that in Ukraine, 1.221 million cases of coronavirus COVID-19 have already been recorded, the daily increase, as of January 31, is the lowest since the beginning of the year – only 2,000. At the same time, for the fourth week in a row, people are recovering more than they got sick in a day.
“2030 new cases of coronavirus COVID-19 have been recorded in Ukraine as of February 1, 2021,” Stepanov said.
Among the patients yesterday were 71 children and 65 nurses.
A total of 12,825 tests for COVID-19 were conducted yesterday. Of these, 9873 by PCR and 2952 by ELISA. 6.2 million PCR tests were performed in Ukraine during the whole period.
Most new cases were found in Ivano-Frankivsk (297), Kyiv (160), Mykolaiv (152), Lviv (146), and Zakarpattia (127) oblasts.
Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk oblasts, and the city of Sevastopol are missing.
Also, according to Stepanov, for the past day:
1103 people were hospitalized;
fatalities – 61;
recovered – 5131 people;
During the whole pandemic in Ukraine:
fell ill – 1,221,485 people;
recovered – 1,023,915 people;
fatalities – 22,768;
PCR tests were performed – 6,257,875.
