The first in the history of the “World Virtual Youth Festival” of boxing ended with a medal won by a Ukrainian athlete.
This unique festival was attended by young people aged 10 to 18, who competed in an online tournament in 5 categories: “Max Fit”, “Aero Fit”, “Talent”, “Inclusive Sports” and “Special Olympics”. . The competition was held in several rounds, in each of which participants were required to perform a certain number of exercises within the allotted time. Winners and prize-winners were determined in each category.
The Boxing Federation of Ukraine has selected a young athlete from Chernihiv region, a member of the youth women’s national team of Ukraine and two-time champion of Ukraine among youth Yulia Peleshuk to participate in the festival. During the European Youth Championship 2020, which took place in November in Montenegro, Julia performed several fitness exercises in front of the camera. The videos with her participation were highly praised by the members of the festival jury, which awarded the Ukrainian athlete a bronze medal in the “Max Fit” category.
A special jury reviewed applications from 70 international federations and clubs, and a total of more than 600 young athletes took part in the online tournament.

The Ukrainian boxer was nominated for the title of “Opening of the Year” according to the WBC.
