Volvo Trucks Supply 1,000 Volvo Fh Trucks with I-Save Technology!

The Italian transport and logistics company Lannutti Group has ordered 1,000 new Volvo FH trucks with the latest fuel-saving technology, I-Save. Thanks to this system, the company sees an opportunity to reduce fuel consumption by 10%, as well as reduce CO2 emissions.

The Lannutti Group, with a fleet of 1,800 trucks, operates in eight European countries. The decision to purchase 1,000 Volvo FH trucks was made after a year-long comprehensive fuel efficiency test that compared the new Volvo FH with I-Save to other trucks in the mixed fleet. The result is a stunning 10% reduction in fuel consumption compared to a comparable standard truck (compared to a standard Volvo FH truck with a Euro 6 step C engine).

“The principle of fleet renewal for us at Lannutti Group is to prioritize low-emission vehicles. In addition to reliability, the most important factors are keeping the weight of the truck as low as possible with a high payload and ensuring the lowest fuel consumption. Given the positive results of the test, we decided that all new Volvo truck models should be equipped with the I-Save system, ”said Valter Lannutti, CEO of Lannutti Group.

The Volvo FH with I-Save is equipped with a fuel-saving engine that reduces fuel consumption over long distances without sacrificing handling. These trucks are also equipped with additional safety features such as Lane Changing Support and Driver Alert Support to help avoid accidents.

“We do not compromise on security issues. It is important to offer our driver a safe and comfortable workplace, as well as to guarantee the safety of cargo delivery. Fortunately, most accidents are minor. However, cars often need to be repaired and truck downtime is expensive. In general, I think that additional security systems are a good investment, ”said Walter Lanutti.

The ordered 1,000 Volvo FH trucks with I-Save will be delivered to the Lannutti Group during 2021 and 2022.

460 hp D13TC turbo-compound engine. (2600 Nm) or 500 hp. (2800 Nm);
