Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that the date of the first telephone conversation between President Volodymyr Zelensky and his American counterpart Joe Biden is currently being discussed.
In an interview with Radio Liberty, he recalled that the first talks had already taken place with US Secretary of State Tony Blinken.
“This is a political signal about the priority of Ukraine and the importance of Ukraine for the United States. We appreciate this signal,” Kuleba said.
He said that he raised the issue of the conversation between the two leaders.
“It is obvious that they will talk. But now President Biden is dealing with issues of the domestic political agenda,” the Foreign Minister stressed.
According to him, now they are looking for a date when contact between the heads of state will take place.
“This will be processed through diplomatic means,” Kuleba added.

On February 1, Kuleba and Blinken had their first telephone conversation. The diplomats reaffirmed the importance of the strategic partnership between the countries.
