At a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council next Friday, February 19, it is planned to eliminate threats, the solution of which has been postponed for a long time.
It is noted that certain threats to national security require tough decisions. At the same time, the OP stressed that until 2019, the decisions necessary to protect national security were postponed for political reasons. It is added that they have become a kind of “slow-action mines”.
“Decisions made as a result of the collegial work of the National Security and Defense Council are fully in the interests of Ukraine at this stage of development of our state,” the President’s Office added.
It is known that the meeting will be partially closed.
It became known only yesterday, February 12, that Zelensky was assembling the National Security and Defense Council on February 19. It was not reported then what exactly would be discussed. The OP stated only that they would consider a “set of issues.”
