Ukraine and North Macedonia signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of tourism between the National Tourism Organization of Ukraine and the Tourism Development and Support Agency of the Republic of North Macedonia.

This memorandum aims to develop tourism business and increase the number of tourists from Ukraine and North Macedonia, promote new tourism products, enhance historical and cultural heritage, implement joint projects, as well as exchange experiences in the field of safety, quality, and innovation in tourism.
It was also indicated that Senec assured in his speech to the conference participants that the development of tourism will contribute to further intensifying economic relations between Ukraine and North Macedonia.
“Macedonia ranked third among the Balkan countries in terms of bilateral trade with Ukraine last year,” the foreign minister said. Despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, we managed to achieve the highest numbers in eight years. It should also promote the development of tourism further economically.
According to Senec, the establishment of a direct dialogue between the National Tourism Organization of Ukraine and the Tourism Development and Support Agency of North Macedonia will make cooperation in the tourism field more systematic and mutually beneficial.
He also stressed that supporting the enhancement of the potential of Ukrainian tourism is among the main priorities of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the economic sphere.
