The Korean company Hyundai will allocate 2 million dollars to develop preliminary feasibility studies (feasibility studies) for building a high-speed railway network in Ukraine.
“This project is one of the most ambitious projects to be high-speed rail transport,” Crickley said. A delegation of representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Ukrzaliznytsia will leave for Korea and large-scale project notes will be signed.
“This year is unique and the budget provides 4 billion hryvnias to finance the electrification of sections (railways), and the purchase of new train cars … We also want in this program to provide for the renewal of 100 railway stations,” Krikli said during the All-Ukraine Forum, “Ukraine 30. Infrastructure.”
Hyundai Commercial and Energy Transportation Vice President Yoon Sok Choi said during a video broadcast at the forum that the company is interested in building a high-speed railway and plans to supply 10 new high-speed trains to Ukraine.
