People’s Deputy Oleksandr Dubinsky, who was expelled from the Servant of the People faction, spoke about who can become the new Minister of Defense of Ukraine instead of Andriy Taran.

According to him, the Office of the President is seriously considering for the post of Minister of Defense of the People’s Deputy from the “Servant of the People” Irina Vereshchuk, who should replace the current head of the department Andrei Taran.
He said that his colleagues in parliament informed him that Bankova is considering the option of Taran’s resignation and the appointment of Vereshchuk in his place. Dubinsky recalled that in December 2020, the Verkhovna Rada National Security Committee had already expressed distrust of Taran, but then, according to him, the scandal subsided with the assistance of the President’s Office.
The People’s Deputy noted that now Zelensky has decided to return to the issue of the resignation of the current Minister of Defense.

Alexander Dubinsky was expelled from the Servant of the People faction in early 2021 after falling under US sanctions for meddling in American elections.
