“Office of the Environmental Inspector” Will Appear in Ukraine

Ukrainians will be able to control the activities of environmental inspectors.

By the end of the year, the State Environmental Inspectorate will develop and implement new functionality – the electronic “Cabinet of the State Environmental Inspector”.

This was stated by the head of the SEI Andrei Malevany during the presentation of the inspection report for 2020, which took place online. It is noted that the system will be able to fully function already at the beginning of 2022, and by the end of this year, the project will be launched in test mode.

Such functionality is provided for by the draft Law No. 3091 “On State Environmental Control”. In particular, with the help of an electronic cabinet, society will be able to monitor the activities of environmental inspectors.

The functionality of the “Cabinet of the Environmental Inspector“:

Electronic registration of requests;

Preparation, approval, and registration of orders for inspections;

Formation of a unified act based on the results of the audit;

Maintaining a directory of enterprises whose activities are controlled by the SEI;

Automatic drawing up of a plan of inspections;

Formation of analytical and statistical reports;

Control over the transfer of materials to law enforcement agencies and courts.

Expected Result:

Optimization of work processes.

Acceleration of electronic document flow.

Inspectors’ access to the required registers.
