The Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov reported that in Ukraine, more than 1.406 million cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 have been recorded, the daily increase over March 7 – more than 5 thousand, which is less than the third day. The number of hospitalized per day – more than 2.1 thousand.

“As of March 8, 2021, 5,572 new cases of coronavirus COVID-19 have been registered in Ukraine. In particular, 309 children and 123 medical workers fell ill, ”Stepanov wrote.
During the past 24hrs, on March 7, 5,572 new cases of coronavirus disease were detected in Ukraine. 2,136 patients were hospitalized, 106 patients died. At the same time, 1,734 people recovered.
The Minister said that over the past day were also:
- hospitalized – 2,136 people;

fatalities – 106;

recovered – 1,734 people;

23,227 tests per day were performed (including PCR method – 15,115, ELISA method – 2,011, express antigen tests for SARS-CoV-2 – 6,101).
During the whole pandemic in Ukraine:
- fell ill – 1,406,800 people;
- recovered – 1,198,254 people;
- fatalities – 27,128;
- PCR tests were performed – 7,141,341.
In the last 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, and Chernivtsi regions.
