“We strive to involve as many children as possible who have completed secondary education in the temporarily occupied territories after April 2014, to receive education in Ukraine,” the Minister stressed.
He provided statistics on students who entered Ukrainian higher education institutions in 2016-2020.
In particular, through the educational center “Crimea-Ukraine” 1273 people joined the Free Economic Zone:
2016 – 153 people;
2017 – 204 people;
2018 – 254 people;
2019 – 265 people;
2020 – 397 people.
Through the educational center “Donbass-Ukraine” 6952 persons entered ZVO:

The Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine noted that last year educational centers were established on the basis of 195 higher education institutions of Ukraine.
“For the first time, all free economic zones belonging to the Ministry of Health, as well as 14 free economic zones belonging to the Ministry of Culture, and 3 free economic zones from the Ministry of Internal Affairs joined the work on the reception of persons from the temporarily occupied territories,” Serhiy Shkarlet said.
He also added that in 2020 a separate Government hotline (0-800-504-425) was launched for TOT entrants, who received more than 7,000 consultations.
It should be noted that on the initiative of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, the opportunities for entry of persons from the temporarily occupied territories have been expanded. In 2020, for the first time under quota-2, not only children from the temporarily occupied Crimea and Sevastopol but also children from the temporarily occupied part of Donbass and the line of contact had the right to enter.
Due to the increase in the number of educational centers, the quota-2 was increased to 12,755 places, almost 5 times more than in 2019.
The registration for participation in the external independent evaluation in 2021 ends on March 5. Until the same day, you can also make changes to the personal data of the EIT participant, if an error is found in the Certificate of the EIT participant.
