In the context of global climate change, Ukraine has become a zone of risky agriculture. The way to solve this problem is obvious – to increase the efficiency of agribusiness. According to Bohdan Kryvitskyi, Deputy General Director for Innovations of IMK, today farmers should increase the margin of each hectare, first of all, by optimization.

“If we talk about the way to solve this problem, it is obvious – to increase the efficiency of agribusiness. Today we have to increase the margin of each hectare, primarily by optimizing technological processes. And there are many options here, “said the farmer.
According to him, “precision farming” in Ukraine was born to save goods and crops from theft by introducing various devices, sensors: weight, fuel level, GPS-trackers, and more.
Instead, the United States began using such devices in the early 1990s to map yields with GPS. And later, with the achievement of a certain level of development of AgTech, our companies began to use technology to increase the efficiency of production processes.
“For example, autopilot systems that save fuel due to fewer field passes by agricultural machinery, or differentiated application of seeds and fertilizers in different ways – locally or in bulk. In general, there are many technologies in this area. The main thing is that they are effective in each case, “said Bohdan Kryvitsky.
