Statue of Liberty exhibition
The Statue of Liberty exhibition is located on the second floor of the pedestal inside the statue and houses a large collection of pictures, prints, and artifacts that tell the story of the monument throughout history. Exhibits include statue manufacture, fundraising in America, pedestal, and souvenir horn. In addition, access to this exhibition is free.
Video in the visitor information terminal
The Visitor Information Station contains brochures, maps, and memorabilia, and also gives visitors the opportunity to watch a short documentary about the making of the Statue of Liberty. You should head there to spend about an hour learning about the history of the monument.
An audio tour of Freedom Island
If you don’t want to take a self-guided tour of Liberty Island, take an audio tour that will take you around the major attractions and sites of Liberty Island, as well as take you through the memorial.
