During the meeting of the tasting commission for the evaluation of canned fruits of new F1 cucumber hybrids, created by breeders of the Institute of Vegetable and Melon NAAS under the leadership of Dr. s.-g. Oksana Sergienko, named the most delicious hybrids of cucumber.

Products were evaluated by organoleptic parameters “color”, “appearance”, “aroma”, “consistency”, “taste”. All promising hybrids of the institute’s selection had high-quality canned products and exceeded the standards for “general evaluation.”
“The highest scores were received by the bee-pollinated hybrid of gherkin-type cucumber Sonnet F1 and the parthenocarpic hybrid of gherkin-type cucumber Glory F1, which in addition to the high productivity of high-quality products are characterized by high disease resistance and a bouquet of female flowers in the knot.”
It is noted that the excess of these hybrids in yield over analogs sent from 16 to 66%. In 2020, these hybrids were transferred for qualification examination to the Ukrainian Institute of Plant Variety Examination.
It will be recalled that in Ukraine breeders have bred a new variety of onion with a yield of 40 tons per hectare.
