In the Zakarpattia region, a group of officials who used their official powers to illegally dispose of lands of state importance was exposed. They caused the state losses of almost a million hryvnias.

An official from the Tyachiv region set up a scheme for the illegal appropriation of land used by state-owned enterprises. The man involved accomplices in his illegal activities. Police investigators reported the suspicion to all those involved in the crime.
Transcarpathian police investigators, together with operatives from the Strategic Investigations Department, exposed a criminal group of officials whose members, using their official powers, were illegally disposing of state-owned lands.
During the pre-trial investigation in the case, the police established that the criminal scheme of illegal alienation of lands of a collective agricultural enterprise in the Tyachiv region was set up by a 44-year-old resident of the district, who holds a senior position in the city district administration.
The official involved his colleagues in the illegal activity – two women, who were the main executors of the plan developed by the malefactor.
By entering false information into the projects of allocating plots to private ownership and approving them with signatures and seals, the attackers caused material damage to the state in the amount of almost 1 million hryvnias.
Currently, the investigating police have informed the members of the criminal group about the suspicion of committing crimes under Part 3 of Art. 28, part 2 of Art. 364, part 3 of Art. 28, part 1 of Art. 366 of the Criminal code of Ukraine. It is an official forgery, ie drawing up by an official of knowingly false official documents and entering into official documents of knowingly false information, committed as part of an organized group and abuse of power or official position, which caused serious consequences.
In addition, suspicion of official negligence was reported to the former head of the district state administration, who, by issuing official orders on the basis of forged documents, illegally transferred the ownership of land to a collective agricultural enterprise.
The issue of choosing a measure of restraint for the people involved in the case is currently being resolved. The case is under pre-trial investigation, the procedural management of which is carried out by the regional prosecutor’s office.
